Reporting wrong or missing information in articles

If you found an error in a manual article or if you miss accuracy in a particular article which you don't want to correct by yourself, then please file a quality issue for the given article in SMWbugzilla. You can simply point out the error, suggest an update or make a proposal for a new topic.

Authoring articles in this wiki

Whenever you seek help from the user manuals and get stuck just start taking notes at this point. Once you find the solution, kindly try and help other users by documenting your experience and your work-around. Try and present your solution to other users so that you save them the hustle of falling into the same problematic. You can actually improve the user manual directly or create a task for the documentation team. Here are some ways in which you may help make the manuals better:

  • By editing the pages directly by clicking on the "Edit" tab. Don't mind so much about the mistakes that you fear that you might make. We have a mechanism that keeps revisions of all manual pages such that we may at all times recover the previous version if need be.
Read How to edit an articlelink=Help:How_can_I_edit_pages%3F.
  • By adding a comment on manual articles. We recommend that one logs in while posting comments since this is much more personal. Nonetheless, one might do this without logging in. This will however only display your IP address.
  • By adding new manual pages. All registered users can add new pages. If you have the knowledge about a stable extension that requires user documentation, kindly let the community know about this. You simply need to provide the name of the extension in the box that is located below followed by filling-in the form. You, or in possible collaboration with other users, can then start documenting this software product. If you are of the opinion that some pages or details about a certain topic are missing, always feel free to submit a task which should have the type "propose new article."
